Throughout the festival, The National Pastime Theater transforms its lobby into an art gallery.
Naked art will be featured as in previous years in the form of paintings, drawings, photographs and sculpture. The curator for this year’s exhibition is returning exhibiting artist Gary Schirmer, who has worked from the human form in his own art for thirty years, and taught figurative painting and drawing for twenty. This year’s festival theme is Purity, our visual art exhibit promises to be an expression of both the pure and the profane, by an eclectic cross section of regional visual artists.
Weekly auctions will be open to the general public. Proceeds of these auctions will support artistic expression in our community and benefit The National Pastime Theater and the exhibiting artists. In an era of government funding cut backs to maintain tax breaks for corporate CEO’s, consider investing in human expression and The Arts!
The National Pastime Theater is a federally recognize 501(c)3 charity and all contributions will be 100 percent tax deductable.
Photos of artwork, suggested starting bid amounts and bios of the artists coming soon.
